Warehouse/Yard Operative & HGV Driver Vacancies

Experienced Warehouse/Yard Operative – Doncaster & Leeds Branch
(£K – competitive salary)
FULL TIME

Responsibilities: –

  • Moving materials around the warehouse/yard area using forklift
  • Maintain stock in the warehouse/yard ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and in full
  • Unloading supplier deliveries
  • Checking and signing for supplier goods received
  • Housekeeping where necessary to ensure that the warehouse/yard is kept safe & tidy at all times
  • Safe loading of customer and company vehicles with various building materials
  • Load and unload lorries in a safe and efficient manner
  • Move and stack materials in a safe manner
  • Assisting with additional warehouse duties
  • Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any faults or wear and tear effectively
  • Adhere to current health & safety requirements
  • Saturday (morning) working is a requirement for this role, and you will be expected to work every other Saturday throughout the year.

Experience/Skills required: –

  • Ideally someone with experience within the builders’ merchants’ sector
  • Manual handling
  • Forklift experience
  • Forklift licence (ESSENTIAL)
  • High standard of attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent timekeeping skills
  • Reliable
  • Trustworthy

HGV Drivers – Leeds & Doncaster Branch
FULL TIME

Responsibilities and Duties

  • In this role you will be responsible for multi drop deliveries to customers in the surrounding area, providing top quality customer service
  • The role involves driving the Class 2 HGV vehicles with HIAB Crane
  • In addition to your driving duties we would expect you to be flexible and assist with yard/warehouse duties should the need arise
  • Saturday (morning) working is a requirement for this role, and you will be expected to work every other Saturday throughout the year.

Qualifications and Skills

  • HIAB certification and experience is essentialfor this role
  • Class 2 licence, digital tachograph card and up to date CPC training also is essential
  • For this position, knowledge of the building industry and building products would be a distinct advantage
